SERVICES TO THE COMMUNITY
Over the last seven years that
the Oasis Drop-In Centre has been operating, the number of attendances
has increased considerably thus increasing the work load and the
pressure upon the team to meet the various demands put upon them.
We have an
open access policy and try to work with each individual whatever their
need may be, e.g., drug/alcohol abuse, homelessness, access to welfare
benefits, medical help, befriending etc. If they wish,
enquirers are referred on to other agencies to help them find
accommodation, treatment, counselling programmes, community health and
other services.
OUR
ORGANISATION IS THE ONLY ONE PROVIDING THIS TYPE OF OPEN DOOR DAY
SERVICE IN THE IPSWICH AREA.
